This past weekend I was finally able to take my new bike out on a cruise. I have always wanted a cruiser bike and I got a pretty sweet deal from a friend for this pretty pink Public bike. Since the weather was beautiful Andrew and I decided to head over to Sawyer Camp trail right off of crystal springs road.

sequoia national park – day 2
On the second day of our trip, we decided to take it easy and do a moderately easy hike of about 6-7 miles. We started off our day at General Sherman and heading to the starting point of Congress Trail.
The trail is more traveled and takes hikers through a vast number of interest points mostly groups of large sequoia trees named after different positions and groups in Congress… figures! Continue reading

This past Presidents Day weekend, we decided to head up Sequoia National Park with a couple of friends. Only a 4.5 hour drive from the bay area, the park has some of the most amazing views of giant sequoia trees (home to the world’s largest tree) and provides plenty of great hiking trails for all levels. Since Andrew and I had the day off due to MLK , we decided to spend the day exploring nature. Located only about an hour away in Marin County, Muir Woods has one of the most amazing views of giant redwood trees.
