This past Sunday we headed to Napa to celebrate the birthdays of our good friends Pete and Justina. Our first stop was Ox Bow Market – I have heard wonderful things about the market, it was a lot smaller than I imagined. we strolled around picked up some breakfast tacos, coffee, and wandered the local shops.
We walked along downtown for a bit waiting for our reservation at Morimoto’s. I have heard how amazing the Omakase is here, but unfortunately was not offered for lunch. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and sushi to share.
The meal was delicious, the Oh-toro and the tuna tar tar were amazing, but I think the rest of the sushi is something you can probably get at a good sushi place in the city or the Peninsula. I would love to come back and try the Omakase Dinner.
After lunch we headed for a few drinks at Domain Carneros. A nice estate that offered some nice views was a great way to hang out and catch up with friends. The location was smaller than I imagined and good thing we made reservations on the patio because it’s quite small.
Overall great sunday spent with great friends and good food!
